Hey! My name is Michael and I'm one of the coaches here at ONE gym! One of my biggest life philosophies is that you are responsible for your outcomes and attitudes through life so it’s important to wake up every day with a smile on your face and a desire for achievement. Growing up I had a very active lifestyle between playing soccer, tennis, rugby union, and cricket as well as doing athletics and swimming, I would always find myself having the most fun when I was moving around and learning new skills. This concept of progression is something that quickly turned into a love for fitness and training. When I think back to the moments I'm the most proud of myself it comes from accomplishing goals that took a long time and wouldn't have been possible without a battle. The biggest for me was conquering a 43-km trail run through the Blue Mountains which I never would imagined I'd be able to finish.
One of the main reasons I love coaching is being able to guide people along a path of bettering themselves. These improvements range from the gym to mindset, to lifestyle and overall happiness. Seeing a smile on somebody's face when they get a new PB or just have a good day is what drives me to keep turning up and doing the best I can.
